FAQ
training influence

What is the difference between influencing and manipulating?

Influencing involves presenting an idea, understanding the expectations of the other person, and seeking lasting support, all while respecting their freedom of choice. Manipulation, on the other hand, relies on a hidden agenda or the use of methods that do not fully respect the other person's interests. training Exercising Influence® develops ethical influence, based on clarity, listening and quality of relationship.

Can one exert effective influence without a hierarchical link?

Yes. Influence is particularly useful in cross-functional or matrix organizations, where you need to mobilize colleagues, partners, or stakeholders without having direct authority. The method helps you adapt your behavior, identify levers for buy-in, and build an argument that takes everyone's objectives into account.

This training Can it help to convince management or a decision-making committee?

Yes. The training This allows participants to better prepare for influential conversations by clarifying the desired outcome, the decision-makers' expectations, and potential points of resistance. Participants learn to choose an appropriate approach, present their arguments with greater impact, and respond to objections without damaging the relationship.

How to adapt one's influence to different types of interlocutors?

The same persuasive approach doesn't work with everyone. Some need specific facts, others a comprehensive overview, in-depth discussion, or guarantees regarding implementation. training helps to observe the reactions of one's interlocutor and to mobilize different influencing behaviors depending on the situation, the relationship and the objective pursued.
